| 2014 Cabalgata Binacional enters Columbus |
Today, I'm launching the "Echoes From Columbus" series in which I'll recount 100-word stories from the histories of Columbus and Palomas (small towns on either side of the New Mexico-Chihuahua border). These stories will be creative nonfiction in form and I will not organize them chronologically or provide a thematic framework at this time. As I work on the book manuscript that was once my dissertation, I think it might be helpful to go back once I've published a critical mass of these stories to see what patterns, connections, or insights emerge.
